My word for 2014... FRIENDSHIP

I have grown in leaps and bounds this year, all in a positive light. I have met new people, made new friends, great managers with amazing leadership skills, people who are changing the world one day at a time. I prayed for this, to be amongst positive influences, and God delivered. As a result I find myself more calm and confident.

Through my growth, some old relationships seem to have evolved and fit in with where I am in life. One of which is an amazing friendship with one of my besties Tebogo Katsaitis.

We met in Varsity over 10yrs ago (did you see what I just did?) and have been friends ever since. She's been there for me through my divorce, the birth of all my kids, she even hooked me up with my amazing husband (story for another post).

She owns a shabby-chic Rustic restaurant in Midrand, a home away from home. It has this relaxed country ambience about it. Oh, And the food is amazing. I swear I could eat there everyday. I've booked tons of functions with them, a couple of baby showers, my son's christening lunch, my daughters birthday, and if I could have my wedding there... I would. It's a hidden treasure.

Today, 31st of December is her birthday. Each year we celebrate together, most of the time out of the country. But this year the celebration was at Shaguma. It's been a while partied that hard, and the date requests made me feel like I was 16 again.

The relaxed outmosphere at Shaguma Garden Cafe

The theme was Denim and allstars, the cake says it all.
This cocktail was the business... Just had to mention it.
I am putting it out there to the Universe, THIS BAND WILL PERFORM AT MY WEDDING, IT'S DONE.
Standing - Mrs Katsaitis, Lady Shaguma herself, Tebogo with Palesa and Tebatso. Been there since day 1.

And then, my lil sis with Idols Brandon. The look on her face says it all.

With my beautiful self in the middle. Apparently my body shows that I'm a sports fanatic.

I refer to her as T, my bestie, my maid of honor, my sister who is not a bit scared to tell me anything. As we grow up we realise that it is less important to have more friends, and more important to have real onces. She has always been one of the real ones.

Happy Birthday my friend. I have so much love for you.
